Add captions

Add captions to a video, timed to every word, in 23 styles

For one short video, up to 6 minutes, that needs captions. Canviz transcribes the speech in its own language, burns in captions that light up as each word is spoken, and returns a vertical MP4 you can download or schedule.

How it works

Add captions, step by step

  1. 1

    Add a video

Paste a YouTube link or upload an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV up to 1 GB. One video takes up to 6 minutes; a longer one is trimmed first or switched to Clips.

  2. 2

    Pick a style

Choose from 23 caption styles, such as Hormozi, Karaoke, Clean white or Podcast. Set the position to Auto, top, center or bottom, and the words per line, 3 by default.

  3. 3

    Canviz captions it

It detects the spoken language, transcribes the speech and times every word. Tighten removes pauses and filler words unless you turn it off, and a hook title opens the video.

  4. 4

    Fix a word and export

Edit any word, change the style or move the captions. Download the MP4 or schedule it to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram.

What you get

What comes out, and what you control

  • 23 styles

Hormozi with a bold yellow highlight, Clean white, Boxed, Karaoke word by word, Beast in red and white, Podcast, Elegant serif, Comic bold, Popline and more.

  • Timed to every word

Each word lights up as it is spoken, from the transcript's word timings.

  • Kept off faces

On Auto, captions are placed so they stay off faces. Or fix them to the top, center or bottom.

  • Edit any word

Change a word, the words per line (3 by default) or the style. Captions can also be turned off.

  • In the spoken language

Canviz detects the language of the speech and captions in that language.

  • Tighten and a hook title

Tighten removes pauses and filler words; it is on by default and can be turned off. A hook title, up to 12 words, is burned in for the first 3 seconds and can be turned off too.
